I started my blog, Healthy Dash of Sass, as a creative outlet and form of therapy for myself and to connect with likeminded people but since I am multi passionate it’s really been reborn into a place that you can come as a cozy safe haven.
I always like to write posts like this because taking care of your mental health is not only important but it’s always the one thing that we all let go down to the bottom of our to-do list. Five years ago I built a boutique digital agency and while that will be one of the best decisions I have ever made I also got completely lost in it.
I continuously worked 7 days a week, and was chasing a number instead of focusing on slow and steady and in turn I reached burnout, my mental health was not good, my physical health was not good and my migraines became so bad that I had to take a year off so I could re-reroute to transition my business in a way that allows me to show up for myself as well. With that being said I make it a huge priority now to focus on my mental health and I wanted to make sure each week we talk about and bring mental health to the forefront of this blog.
